FOOD IMAGERIES
PART 2

********

Life is delicious. Let us focus on that. This is the part two ... of our Japan Trip food diary. More food, and some random tidbits about things I picked up and learned. Not to mention, the new things that graced my taste buds & stomach lines. One of the very first things that I had to remember was to stop telling myself "wow - we don't have this in...". Many thanks to Jenny (my favorite person in the world) for showing me a beautiful part of this country and promising to show me the rest of it someday! :)

In the Ginza area, there is a restaurant that focuses on Unagi (Eel) . I am not sure which specific kind of eel it is, but I know it is cooked on a Yakitori style (skewers & grill) how lovely and tasty looking. The image above is a glass window, where I spent 20 minutes just watching them how they make this. It was not enough time, I need years to learn and master this. I will however resolve myself to enjoying these masterful creations. LET'S GO UNAGI !!!  (looking at this photo above for a long time) ... it really struck me how something as beautiful as eel, could be so delicious. The way it was skewered and prepared really reminds of the art that is in cooking. Grilled like it was, and still served juicy and tasty (and not charred tasting) was something surprising but then again - not really surprising, considering these are master chefs, devoting their time, career, and their lives to one pursuit. Sometimes, i wonder if they look back and say... did I waste my life pursuing eel... what about mackerel? should I have invested more time in mackerel? or maybe even salmon? .... mmmm

Skewered Eel Liver, glazed with something between salty and tastily sweet. Deep, aromatic, a hint of bitter & sweet (liver taste only). Perfect to start this meal? who else would try this? While I am not new to ingesting guts from random creatures - eel liver seems pretty exotic to me - the flavor however, tastes similar... My skewered meal ... Rice + Unagi + Pickes Items + Soup (not miso soup) + Tea.  Not sure why my rice looks like mayonnaise salad. (too tired, too hungry)

Close up: my favorite food item (that I can cook at home) Sliced Unagi (eel) dripping with secret unagi umami sauce! BOOOM!!! OISHI !!! "SUMIMASEH ON MO - ARIGATO !!! " - yah I think i can come up with phrases, as we go along.

Jenny's dish.

Jenny's dish OPENED !!  Unagi over rice, seaweed soup, secret sauce, picked stuff, sea weed thins + 2 items that I don't remember (in a square container).
Unago Donburi !!!  Some might say that it looks like donuts ...

Cilantro + Naruto Soup?
END of UNAGI restaurant.
Foie gras - super buttery, sweet, unique flavor. (i have never tasted this prior). Made from goose or duck liver.

Four kinds of salt. (in order of closest to view) Salt with secret herbage, Salt with wasabi powder, Salt with something that reminds me of plums, and Salt with salt. (this setup reminds me of candle displays for some reason).
Aah - a Jenny dish. Rice w veggies + green tea soup broth. This was extra-surprisingly refreshing!
Secret item. I don't remember what this was...
Curly Tempura close up ~ totally different from the "tempura" that I imagined (that long, straight shrimp) - where do then even catch the straight shrimps? Well, this one is all curly and crunchy!

I might be mistaken - this one is croquette tempura! I think i love this one! Ah potato a much loved item in this culture of cooking! Such a blessing for us to have this affinity with this root crop! It is quite refreshing and re-assuring that potato, has so much potential and can be used in lots of preparation styles!

Yes - this is the tempura, everything deluxe. It has shrimp, veggies + unagi spine crispified. Totally edible - not a garnish. Now that one is a new thing for me to try! I guess when i cook fish at home - i have a great and wonderful reason to keep the spines & stuff. Another new item learned! We will definitely try this when we get home. Grab some fish ends = dip them in happy tempura batter and super deep fry them! END OF THE TEMPURA RESTAURANT!

ABOUT to enter an ARCADE-ATM Restaurant! (not it's proper name) - we never found out the correct name.  (goes to google and searches half-heartedly)  It is called Vending Machine Restaurants! really? that's pretty lame - I will call them Arcade-Atm Restaurants! This is my favorite type of shops. They are usually open at odd times, and they cater to just almost everyone. We ate at a few of these (different days at different times). Their food totally can be anything you can imagine, from simple family style food, hotplates, sushis, and my all time favorite curry! The food is honest, fast and good! It's like eating your mothers' cooking - if she was from Japan. Yes - it was that good.  This is the last day we are in Japan :(  - yes i did not realize how sad I was until I was on the way to the airport. This was the day with the second most walking we did, and also it may have been the most eating that we had to do - thankful to be eating and walking.
THIS is the vending machine (we shall call it Arcade/Atm Food Ordering System Machine)! The first button you want to find is the one that says "ENGLISH"! Then you can simply use your eyes to visualize (ha) and if that's not enough, there's usually some properly translated food description below each tasty image! CAN YOU SAY - let's eat a full breakfast?
NO - the food doesn't come out of the machine. This is only for the ordering, paying and giving change. - DON'T forget your order stub print out item.
Joshy order: Pork-u-Don + Yakiboshi and wasabi + miso soup + sweet sauce!
And my buddy's food ... looks like there's a lot ... and there was! So much for a light breakfast lol.
END of Arcade/ATM Restaurant.
Guess where this is? Yes that lady sitting in the left is Jenny ... but still, guess where we are?! I am a little ashamed to have come to this restaurant - hehehe - but there was something that I wanted to try and know ... did you guess where we are?
YES - Mcdonalds ... in Tokyo! JOSH WHY ARE YOU EATING THERE? - one reason - i wanted to compare the US MCD and the JAPAN MCD. See and feel and taste and smell the difference. There are a lot of differences. Do you know? let me tell you some ...
This burger can stand on its own !!! The meat tastes a little bit more meaty and less science induced flavor, the veggies seem to be fresh (looking at me), and the most important difference that we sensed - WAS the bread. It didn't feel science bread, ask me later what science bread is. It was good. Unfortunately, there are plenty of interesting places to eat here (Japan), so a repeat of this experience will not be in the works.
Passed by a 7-11 store earlier and bought one of their baked goods item (looks like an eclair to me) and I love eclairs. This one was great as well. I would get them again... but its from 711, maybe I can save more room for something else. I don't recall us having much desserts out here. Next time, I will get our friend to take us to happy dessert places!  END of MCDonalds Session. Time is almost running out.

We went back and forth to outside of this ramen restaurant. My wife, being the loving & caring person that she is - SHE DID NOT TAKE ME TO ANY RAMEN shops in Tokyo... knowing that I had no affection to the wonderful & curious thing, ramen! Once I realized that she was sacrificing her own hunger pangs, to accommodate my rather, picnicky flavor patters - I had no resolve, Jenny must be able to eat RAMEN! It took much coaxing and grace - to pull her inside this RAMEN RESTAURANT (i don't know the name - SUMIMASEN) - but it was sitting room only - maybe 12-15 seats facing the chefs - one was preparing dishes - one continuously stir fried some veggies (placed on top of the ramen) - and a third one, looking dazed and tired but happily providing assistance to the first two. Their faces and actions were not captured - so as to not show that we are ultra-tourists, taking photos of everything shamelessly. lol
Sitting, facing the chefs ... I have videos of us eating ... but that is only for the "home" videos. If you visit my house i will show you my home videos lol - but those guys, like Jenny and myself, patiently awaiting their food.  All the condiments you want, is laid in front of you - the water and cups - aaah feels like a Filipino street restaurant as well ... i like having the freedom to fix my own meal items ~ and I like how they provide you with what you need and may need to enjoy your meal your way! Thank you so much Ramen shop!

This is the JENNY RAMEN order dish! It has that super generous toss of bean sprouts! - one chef - just cooked that in a large wok - again and again, batch after batch!) Notice the broth - super UMAME-LOOKING :) This is House Ramen with Pork Tasting Broth with lots of sprouts on top + egg ramen noodles and happy, hefty cuts of pork in it!

Joshy order = CURRY over rice with Pork Cutlets + bleeding eggs! This was my favorite - it was an uphill battle to finish it. I wish we have this restaurant here. At least this plate of curry dish. I love it. Can I take it home with me please?
Yes this is the Japanese curry. it is dark... like a nightmare. But it tastes like a dream! Add some super jelly eggs with the yellows .... aaah I feel sleepy again!
I look to the left, I look to the right ... almost everyone is slurping their soups!!! oh - i remember - they like that in this culture - it's you telling them - what you made tastes good - that i will make the scary slurping sound to say i like it :) Unfortunately - i cannot make the same sound, having ordered a rice meal with curry on top. END OF RAMEN RESTAURANT. After that fierce eating battle -  we are stuffed ... and we still went to the very last restaurant in our race to the next wave of travels after Japan.
This is the conveyor belt sushi. You press your order on a tablet looking thing - located in front of you - a few minutes later - this conveyor belt delivers your stuff ! - super fast and good! Not sure if made by robots or people. We only ordered a few sushi - it was good! Thank you Sushi FAST Place! END OF SUSHI FAST RESTAURANT.  END OF EATING - JAPAN Country ... thank you!
And here is the very end of this. Food images from the ANA - Japanese plane company, and my best friend in the world! Enjoying the meals that they always put out for us! Thank you so much for taking care of us in our travels! Items are Hamburger + Sweet Sauce and Rice and veggies, bread and butter and more veggies and pickled stuff! Always good and filling ~ makes travel very enjoyable!

Thankful, I survived all the walking that we did! Apparently, this much travel doesn't faze my lovely life partner Jenny. She is apparently a travel person - I guess, thats one of the reason that I was so attracted to her. Her personal attitude towards new and exciting things can easily match & maybe be more, than my own thirst for life. She did very well to note and remember certain things, and remind me later on - or at least when I was writing for this food blog. It was so cool - to be read her travel diary ( WHICH I HAVE explicit permission to do so!) - how she sees things and how graceful she is about life! Thank you Jenny for not only sharing your time with me, but also your life and experiences! The next set of blogs will reflect some of the images of the travel - not much food photos in those ones but more places... and maybe a blog about the foods that we had in the Philippines. aaah - thank you Jenny for taking this guy to Tokyo and showing me the awesome parts - I look forward to the next travels that we will have! Whether in this life and the next! Aaah - thankful to you - our reader's - for taking interest in what this guy had to show and tell... Life is delicious. Let's live it some more!

We are truly blessed. To be alive and well, to be provided with so much, to be able to love and be loved. Also, we are blessed that we  live nearby the gorgeous city of sunny, sweet, and over-casted, San Francisco. But we are blessed the most, when we let the one true creator of love, prepare and send the one, that special one made for us. The one that will hold on to you, and will hold on tighter as darkness arises. Beauty, love & grace - reflects as these two look at each other - intently and casually. God is good!

FOOD IMAGERIES

PART 1

********

I do not care for any sight seeing. Truly. I recall a time in my life, when I was a wee little lad and I was brought to different countries to see the "sights". Nothing could have been a more visual waste on a young boy with no worldly cares about art and culture to be shown such things. It did however, open my mind (maybe a little bit) that there are other places out there. Far away places that will show me something different. Something Interesting. As a married person, with a little daughter and a bag full of techie camera gear like devices, I am still not interested in sight seeing at any, and, or particular country or far away land = BUT what I am extremely objective about is food. Food is the one thing everyone can relate to or at least consume. Here is a blog about our recent food travels (june 2015). Below each set of images I will do my best to explain & describe what is going on / or at least where I am. I am writing this as a memory reminder of how beautiful travel can be and what I look forward to the most. I am commending and thanking Jenny, my best friend, my wife and my best friend for planning, logistifying, preparing, financing these wonderful adventures. Seriously, thank you - THANK YOU for giving me something to live for.

                                                                                           - Rufino Josh

The beautiful Jenny, face timing her mom & Sienna. At this very moment, we are located at the Seattle Airport. Partaking and I guess starting our food travel. We didn't really choose the type of food, we just wanted to grab something for the way.

Calamaris & cool wasabi mayo dip.

Jenny starting it with the very first bite.

What's better than a cheese burger, that is medium rare and is perfectly ink on the inside? Splittin' it with your best gal.

And add the NaCL chasers.  END of Seattle Stop Burger Restaurant.

Once aboard the ANA (airplane), we longingly waited for the first meal woohoo! Yes - it is now looking like a Japanese styled (based) cuisine. Now this is something that says - you are headed where good food is located!   This is my plate - veggies curry Over rice and seaweeds + salads and other stuff.

My partner's food - had Soba on the side with it. This is the first time, I was to try these so-called cold noodles. It was good. You were given "dashi", (sauce) where in my wonderful, wonderful lady showed me her way of enjoying it.

This will be a wall hanger at our house. My favorite image of my best friend and her little friend.

This was given to us after the meal … what a cool, surprise!

END of airplane food session.

**********

This is one of the first curry restaurants for me. Locals would be scoffing at me… for favoring a chain restaurant but what do I know … all i know is we enjoyed our time here at CocoIshi. Oh the green button is for calling someone inside, if you want to order a togo meal or something. Coolness.

Ordering is a breeze. Where ever you are in Japan, you can always ask for an English menu. Then you can simply call the dude … "SUMI-MA-SEH?" (excuse me?) then you point and shoot your order LOL !!! If I went and didn't get hungry, then YOU can do it too! Didn't take long for us to learn a few phrases and some very important words (oishi).

Crunchy Potato Croquette over rice, with pork curry next to it.This is crazy. with all the types of food that we could have first tried … We gotta have something for the first meal here! And I love it.  And I will tell you man, it doesn't taste like ANY curry I have ever had. And I have tried as much curry as I can (all the different culture curries and even my experimental ones from home cooking) I know it's a chain food style, but you gotta try this. END of the COCOICHI Curry Restaurant Session.

We made our way to a yakitori diner type restaurant (about 6-8 seats) in the Omodie a.k.a. piss alley, this is a locally known place that is said to have been a hangout of a very famous local gang group. (we will not reveal their gang name for safety reasons) and that they would hang out in this alley and do the business there.  That was the local sayings… ANYWAYS A Yakitori is a open flame grilling restaurant. Pretty much serves anything that the main chef would want to grill.

Remember this is about close to midnight of our first night in Tokyo, Japan. So what do you eat to ensure yourself a healthy digestive system for the next 2 and 1/2 days? of course, large grilled oysters  with the ponzu sauce and some greens.

Grilled scallops + green onions.

It was nice and stormy rainy on this night. I think that also helped us find (land) on this restaurant, we were looking for another specific yakitori. But, the powers of the rain made us only search for about 20 minutes in the awesome pouring rain, then it had us retreat in the only place we found that had open seatings… at this time lots of diner (mom & pop) looking restaurants are open, and they are full of people on a midnight on a week day!

Aaah let's try this one… (oh) most of the places we went to… they pretty much let us eat + take photos. Looking back maybe that was not a locally acceptable thing to do. The next time we're in Japan i will just wear a video device, so I can eat in peace.

Chicken Skewers turned into chicken sausage skewers + raw egg for sauce.

Pork large intestines on a skewer. Favorite item!

Quick shot of the group that fed us and talked to us - what a great welcome by the chef and crew! Thank you! I will do my best to find you again - the very next time we visit and give you a XL large print of this! ARIGATO-GOSAIMAS!!! END of the "Omodie" Piss Alley Session.

This is Mos Burger, my new favorite burger joint. I wish we have a Mos burger back where I am from.

And this is why we need Mos Burger at the bay area. Yeah a crispy rice burger with awesome random stuff inside dripping with secret sauce that will make you want to get up, get in line and order more (but I didn't).

It's like we are back to when we are dating again. The look in her eyes, the flintiness from my voice and all the enjoyment we've had so far. I am so happy to be with this beautiful person. Thank you so much for taking me here. This is going to be the best time of my life. Wait I sound like this is the end, no it is not, this is the start! END of Mos Burger Restaurant Session

Aah this day was the most walking day I have ever dared to do. Of course my lovely girl, was with me and she made sure that we get to eat along the way. This is a No-name restaurant (because I didn't think to write down the name lol) oh this was breakfast by the way. One of those arcade front restaurant … where you go in, theres this ATM arcade looking thing and you choose your food, order, and pay on it. Get your stub, that is the most important. Sit down, someone will come by and get your order stubs and then you wait a minute. Yes, the food arrives...

Burger steak over white rice and super dark curry next to it. This is my favorite type of meal. Let's eat this everyday!

Jenny's dish: pork something or beefy dish with kimchi, seaweed thins over a happy dose of rice! Ohayo Gohsaimasuh! END of ATM Arcade Choice Restaurant Breakfast (sorry the name was in Japanese Characters... and we didn't find the english name lol)

Oh look a Mister Donut. not really a have-to-go shop for me. donuts. heh. but we did see something that looks interesting, green match cronut-looking donut. Jenny liked it.

It looked like a cronut with chocolate on top. NOPE, its not - it was a regular donut with chocolate on top. END of Mister Doughnut Session

Cheap thrills. 100Yen, you get a shot at these rilakkuma buddies. (sorry Sienna, i will try again another time lol)  I don't know why, but I am a sucker for these kinds of games, however in my ... BLANK number of years in existence, I have never won anything from an arcade game like this.

One of my personal required restaurant to visit is KFC. So naturally we had to go there and taste something ….

Fish Stick. It's pretty good. END of KFC restaurant Session.

Aah the Ninja Restaurant. This is cool. I was however sworn to secrecy so I am not allowed to divulge any of their techniques & powers. I was however, being an honorary foreigner genin ninja - were allowed to share my food images - please enjoy.

Ninja throwing star? NO! that is a ninja cracker!

Ninja star shaped brick? NO! That is a ...  PATTE for the ninja star cracker!

I am so sorry - I don't remember this dish at all !!! I believe there was some memory loss secret ingredient in it ... I recall that my wife loved this dish!

Ninja Conch shell - super tasty!

Ninja Soup - made from stone! Aaah the story I used to tell my best friend - has finally come to life. Our Ninja Genin friend - placed all the ingredients mixed them - in this bamboo cup... then at last placed a stone (crazy ultra hot stone - temperature wise) and that cooked  this cool (or hot) concoction! Super Kawai

Ninja Frothie Surprise. I think this one also contains the memory loss ingredient ...
Ninja Yakitori Powers!
Ninja turtle ice cream! (or frog) = totally open for interpretation! but it was savory sweet and good!   At the Ninja Restaurant - we met up with our good friend Natsuko-Chan (who lives in Japan). We met her in a Scott Robert Lim - International Photography Workshop (in HongKong & China) so of course at the exit part - we needed to take photos. PHOTO CREDIT TO the genin ninja who served us at our stay! ARIGATO GOSAIMAS! END of the Ninja Restaurant.

Here we are. 5am-ish. Tsukiji Fish Market. I suppose you know what that means. If not - please google it lol. Hehehe (or see the tour blog about this place). Lots to talk about this place - so we had another separate blog about it. In this one however, we will stop talking... and only show you images. I believe my words will eventually fail the appreciation dues required for the powers of the art.  Notice the chefs. Three of them, vision wise it seems we have three generations of sushi masters here.

ARIGATO GOSAIMAS! For the best sushi I will probably eat and devour and enjoy in this lifetime woohooo! I am trying to figure out if this guy was happy or maybe irritated that I took longer than everyone else to eat (and shoot photos). END of Tsukigi Fish Market Sushi Restaurant Number 1.

THIS was the face that Jenny gave me, when I suggested (right after we finished eating at the first sushi restaurant) that we eat at another one. WHY would I suggest that? Well, we arrived at the fish market a little past 4:30AM - only to be denied access at the TUNA Auction thingy, so we walked around looking for these world-known sushi restaurants nearby the Tsukigi fish market. I reckon, "hey we're here and I know know when we will ever return here again, We might as well try as much sushi as we can."  … also that fact that = It will not get any fresher or authentic-er than this mates.  Also we had two more hours to kill, since we're waiting for the Public Fish Market to open. See more of that adventure at the Japan tour blog.

At around 6AM - this is part two of the line for the sushi restaurant. I think we can safely estimate about a hundred or so people waiting for the sushi places. They have about 10 people seating and most of the menu is simply sushi (nigiri style) by type of you can get them as a set meal and they simply prepare and hand it to your plate. Here we go, get ready for round two. at a different restaurant, just right next to the very first one that we ate at! LOL … some places were more popular than others. Some had a hundred people waiting, some had no wait … guess what we just hopped right in, "SUMIMASEN, two seats pls?" and you are in! here is another set of sushi for your eyes. message me later to tell you which one is my favorite.

Conch shell sushi? I didn't try it (muts) I should have... life regret #245,987.
This is the face of someone who just realize... (I get to eat another round of sushi) woohoo!!!

Here we have two chefs. (NUTS) Didn't capture the looks of the other dude, sorry mate. But we have here seems like a same generation younger looking guys - maybe my age or a bit older than me - why does this matter? well... I wanted to compare the two sushi places that we ate at - assuming they get their food as fresh as possible from the Tsukiji Market (literally a block or two from the restaurants)  - if the ingredients are of the same top quality, then only skills and technique will be the deciding factor. meow. let's eat. no more talking again.

Did you notice that the sushi's were cut in half? LOL... i wonder if that was normal to people? - nothing special. We simply asked the chef master to cut it in half so we can easily share between me and my partner!

Looking at my left this is my awesome view. Another Sushi chef, preparing the unagis. (look closer) - i watched this dude prep a few of those - I would have wanted to shoot and talk to him but our time here at the sushi restaurant was short and brief - nevertheless much loved and appreciated! ARIGATO GOSAIMAS. END of Tsukigi Fish Market Sushi Restaurant Number 2. LOL.

Wow I cannot feel any more blessed to have experienced these wonderful morsels. Sometimes, you just have to eat with your eyes. Unfortunately for us, we had to eat these with the rest of the senses, so that we can deliver these images to you!  We hope you enjoyed part 1 …. yah part two is coming. We hope you look out for that! More food and more adventures!

Juanda + Steve

"Love shall find you". Juanda & Steve, returns to Hotel Vitale to celebrate their commitment and enjoy the stunning views of the waterfront and the city. They later shared with us that this location is quite dear to them because it is also part of their engagement story. So, we go and declare this as the perfect back drop of their engagement session. We had a great time getting to know one another. One striking thing that we took away was the happiness that was surrounding Juanda the moment she looks at Steve. Let us take a peek at what timeless imageries we have created with two beautiful people, an inviting city full of life, and love they have for each other.        - rufino

"Excuse me, you are holding that bag, the wrong way!".  These were the very first words exchanged between them. Who would have thought, that years later, we would be here. Hand in hand, smiling that special look upon each other, shooting their engagement session. Let us take a quick look at their session with us!

Dance like we're the only people here. Impromptu movement, swaying without actual music, lost in her eyes, simply the joy of your presence, freezing this moment in time, caressing, loving - in the middle of JapanTown.

With passion & moves like this, it is no wonder why we  are so excited for their wedding!

Melanie + Carlo

We are back, to marvel & appreciate the breath taking mountain view of this beautiful blue lake.  Our day starts in the beach front location of The Landing Resort & Spa. Hence, our starting greeting reflects the calmness of that very morning. Here we find, Melanie with her ladies, excited yet a peace-filled moment of preparation.

Now we venture on to the gents suite. Wherein we have a band of guys, relaxing, prepping, ironing pants - watching football and cheering on our man of the hour ~ Carlo.

Our ceremony takes place, on the second floor (open area) of The Landing Resort & Spa -overlooking the lake & mountains - aaah what a beauty! Perfectly lit, a gentle breeze, and the fresh scents - not to mention gorgeously awesome bride & groom and their families! We love our job!
Once in a while, we catch a cool moment. What we have here is a hand shake, years in making, yet perfectly executed ~ showcasing the bond of brotherhood and fellowship between our groom and best man! We later found out that the special moves represent a Air Force dream that they share.

Wow ~ what a wedding ~ this has been one super fun weekend in Lake Tahoe, with a beautiful & loving couple, and an awesome clan! Thank you Melanie & Carlo - for having us be part of your special day! Here are a few of our favorite images from this day!

Happy New Year 2015! (but first) http://www.rufinoong.com/blog/2015/1/happy-new-year-2015-but-first We are very thankful for the awesome year of 2014. Our full pledged year, we look forward to the coming future (already at hand) but before that = let us take this possibly last opportunity to holler at the activities of this year! The brides & grooms, whom celebrated with us, the families, that let us enjoy the day with them, the nameless corporations, that we cannot name, the models, who envisioned to be famous thru our work...

Note: A number of events will not be featured due to client privacy preferences = but you know we love you all the same! lol

Note#2: This video will be quite speedy, to squeeze in, as much images & to fit the finger thumping music that we have chosen. We do hope that you enjoy it, and maybe even see yourself in it :)

A special thanks to the following individuals, truly & humbly I say, none of these would have been ever possible without each and everyone of them.

Rufino Josh ONG - me (and the other 7 voices in my head) for getting laid off from the financial world and turned into the most hardest job in the world (being a full time dad) + shooting people with a camera.

Jenny Jang Ong - my wife, whom lets me do what ever I like under the ever present guise of responsible photographic deeds & semi-acceptable fatherhood. Thank you for letting me grow into the bonsai tree that I am!

Vince Ong - my brother & my first best friend. He told me one of the very things that I tell myself, almost everyday. It has become my life's motto and my life's work to live it out. He encouraged me to be the best version of myself.

Cynthia Ong - my mommy. Literally, without her - i won't be here. Science wise and physiologically speaking. As for shaping my personality and helping me raise my daughter.

Scott Robert Lim - my photography & business mentor, and a really good friend. This guy paved the way, by just being himself. Verily, my images will be terrible, (was that bad) before I met this person. If I was a worm, he was the red bull that gave me wings, so now I am a butterfly (preferably one that is long-lived).

Thank you thank you ~ If I can grab all of you and take you to the best DimSum place that I can find... I will, and we should! :)

- Let us bring on the awesomer new year then!
